Have you seen the new National Sheriffs' Association Chaplains Reference Guide? It's terrific. www.sheriffs.org/userfiles/file/ChaplainsResourceManual.pdfCheck out the "Resources" section [bibliography] in the back, then compare it to the bibliography in Spiritual Survival for Law Enforcement. Funny, no? Always happy to help!

I would like to become a police chaplain, preferrably for the Pagan community. I am ordained through the Universal Life Church and am authorized by the State of Ohio to perform weddings. I have been a police dispatcher for 17 years and a Witch for just about that long.
Is there any type of training I need, or certification I need?
I am in Lakewood, Ohio.
Thanks and Blessed Be!

Hi --
I apologize -- your post escaped my notice until now because of a glitch in how the website registers new posts or messages to me.
My advice to you: Contact the ICPC (International Conference of Police Chaplains). If you want to be a police chaplain, they're the people to help you do it. They set the standards for proper police chaplaincy.
Good luck!
